In an effort to build a more diverse and inclusive workplace, our client developed a DEI Task Force. The task force wanted to build upon existing efforts to create an environment where employees felt a sense of belonging.
The task force’s biggest challenges were:
Despite their team being engaged and deeply caring about DEI work, they lacked a clear plan to drive meaningful progress and didn’t want the company’s efforts to be performative.
Perfeqta helped transform our client’s DEI Task Force into a structured and intentional program. By providing strategic guidance, clear communication plans, and ongoing support, our consultants ensured that the DEI initiatives were prioritized and integrated into the company strategy.
Deliverables from the Perfeqta team included:
Company-wide DEI Survey
Perfeqta partnered with our client’s HR team to capture employee demographics and get aligned on the survey's purpose and goals. Our consultants created and deployed the survey, and developed a comprehensive communication plan. After collecting responses, we synthesized the survey results and compiled key priorities to present to leadership and the DEI Task Force.
DEI Task Force Kickoff and Governance Structure
We established a structured framework for the DEII Task Force, dividing it into four pillars and creating leadership and co-chair roles. Our consultants implemented a more organized way to conduct meetings and select chairs and developed a recruitment strategy.
Quarterly DEI Newsletter
Perfeqta created and sent a company-wide newsletter to share DEI Task Force progress, accomplishments, upcoming events, diversity holidays, and ways for employees to get involved.
Monthly DEI Task Force Trainings
Our consultants conducted monthly training sessions to educate the task force on relevant DEI issues and provide guidance on conflict resolution and how to communicate the impact of their work.
Training topics included:
These efforts brought life into the DEI Task Force, set up clear and fair processes for selection and governance, and kept employees engaged with regular updates and training.
Perfeqta’s efforts helped provide clarity, direction, and actionable outcomes, which included:
Clear priorities and more organized processes
With Perfeqta’s guidance, the task force had streamlined workflows, leading to more efficient decision-making, stronger collaboration, and measurable progress toward their diversity and inclusion goals. The team felt more confident about DEI initiatives being aligned with the company’s overall goals.
Improved transparency with our client’s first DEI report
After making significant progress, the task force developed its first Commitment & Governance Report. This report shares company DEI goals, an overview of the four pillars, and a summary of the task force’s accomplishments. This report helped establish more transparency in the culture, keeping all team members informed on the company’s DEI progress and goals.
Enhanced DEI maturity level
Perfeqta provided a detailed DEI Maturity Assessment based on our framework, helping our client identify its current DEI standing and areas for growth to set a solid foundation for further development. After the engagement, our client’s DEI effort evolved the company’s maturity from the Structuring Phase to the Scaling Phase.
Heightened awareness of the impact of DEI
Perfeqta delivered over 10 monthly sessions, equipping the DEI Task Force with advanced training on DEI topics. As a result, the team became more proficient in addressing diversity challenges, conflict resolution, and building effective DEI programs.
These results reflect a structured plan that not only revitalized our client’s DEI efforts but also set the foundation for an inclusive culture where all employees felt a sense of belonging.
